Ignorance

Samuel Sahulka Willey

This exhibit takes the form of a constructed room within the wider exhibit. The three inner walls will have murals that set you in both an Esports stadium as well as the heart of a forest. In today’s society, everyone is bombarded with constant distractions, which cause us to lose a certain amount of control in our lives. The overall goal of the exhibit is to show that what we are being distracted from is our moral prerogative. The room is not solely intended to display the distractions that are plaguing the artists life, but to allow a moment of contemplation for the onlooker to examine the obstinance within their own.

Fabrics are sewn together to represent the essence of specific memories, some as simple as roasting marshmallows during camping trips to the many hopscotches created with her grandfather to the homes she grew up in.
