About The Project
The Inconvenience Store is a collection of fictional products designed to show what the world may look like if industrial designers did not exist. Each product in the collection exhibits a direct contrast to one of the three cornerstones of industrial design: form, function and efficiency. The ironic absurdity of these creations is designed to teach viewers about the principles of good design, while simultaneously highlighting the subtle genius of the products we all know and love.
As well as being a great opportunity to practice my 3D modelling and texturing skills, this project helped me think more in depth about what it takes to be a great designer, and encouraged me to never stop trying to improve my skills.
